Our Mission

TBL transitions was founded by Terry Owens in 2025. Terry spent 15 years in law-enforcement with the Kansas City Missouri police department. He held positions as an officer, field training officer, special victims detective, violent crimes detective, and Sergeant. In 2022, he made the leap into the private sector.  Terry has been the head of Security for a nationally recognized transportation brokerage firm for over four years. After leaving law-enforcement, he was contacted several times by people who were struggling to find jobs. This really resonated with him because he had many struggles of his own, which led to the development of TBL transitions.

TBL transitions is based on three pillars of success.
- Preparing law-enforcement members for the transition into retirement, the private sector, or upward career mobility.
- Preparing members of law-enforcement for senior leadership roles and fostering innovative ideas to improve the industry.
